Angkor Wat, Cambodia

Angkor Wat is the largest Hindu temple complex and the largest religious monument in the world. The temple was built by King Suryavarman II in the early 12th century. As the best-preserved temple at the site, it is the only one to have remained a significant religious centre since its foundation – first Hindu, dedicated to the god Vishnu, then Buddhist. The temple is at the top of the high classical style of Khmer architecture. It has become a symbol of Cambodia, appearing on its national flag.

It was unbelievable. We went there at the dawn, it was around 4 am! So, it was dark! when we arrived to the place, I just could not believe in my eyes. I was very excited while going there, also thinking probably it would be very quite, that’s good ! But no… OH MY GOD! who are these people? how many are they? what are they doing here at this time of the day?!

Same as me !

Enjoy the pictures. (you can see other Cambodia pictures from here or “Travel” page.
